Abstract
In Korea, most of studies using THI were conducted to abtain a comprehensive information at the health status of female workers since the health of these female workers has been one of the major issues in the field of occupational health.
1. Most of the THI symptom categories except mental irritability and nervousness in factory female workers were significant different form those of office female workers.
2. the THI scores in the depression and irregular life in unmarried group were higher than those in married group.
3. It seemed that the longer length of working services, the higher scores in the physical symptoms.
Although the THI is of fair validity as an indicator of the presence and degree of general health status and general emotional disability, it will require more detailed analyses of the THO for comparative health diagnosis in a community. The implication of these results for health survey using THI questions should be discussed.
